 | Don't violate the person's rights. Know what rights each person has and don't
misuse them. |
 | Watch your touching. You never know how others receive it. |
 | Watch your words. Let your words uphold you and honor your professionalism. |
 | Monitor your looks. People see then in ways you can't imagine |
 | Be careful with your movements. Keep your distance - 2 to 3 feet is good. Save
your hugs for home. |
 | Be conservative wit what you share (i.e. pictures) What's fun to you may be offensive to
another. So if in doubt, leave it out. |
 | Forget office infatuation. Don't even go there in your mind. It is a real
trap. |
 | Use caution when you travel with others. Sleep in your own room. Don't have
candlelight meals. Carry your own bags. |
 | Mention your spouse / significant other often. Let everyone know who you are
committed to. Don't flirt. Dance alone - just kidding. |
 | Don't cross sexual boundaries. Know what is and what is not acceptable. Keep
a correct distance. |
 | Don't harass in any manner. You are how you are seen and heard. Use caution
when you care. |
 | Treat all with courtesy and respect. Address the person appropriately. Offer
assistance only professionally or as is socially acceptable. |
 | Watch your compliments. Honey, sugar and sweety are best left at home. |
Take time to really ponder this issue of sexual harassment. It has the potential
to impact you. Study the points above and search out their hidden and overt
meanings. Review your most recent interactions. Could anyone misinterpret any
of them? Could charges of sexual harassment touch you?
